This one is personal. Clara is a voice companion built for people living with dementia She lives on a small computer placed wherever the patient lives. She speaks, she listens, she can play familiar music from a custom music library. She knows what day it is and what the weather is and she answers the same questions over and over without losing patience. She is not a generic AI assistant. She is pre-loaded with whatever is needed to create a warm and knowledgeable companion. Everything Clara does and stays on the device in the room. She does not send conversations to the server. She does not store voice recordings in the cloud. the audio, the transcripts, the conversation history --none of it leaves the premises. This was a design requirement, not an afterthought. A person with dementia is in a vulnerable position. There words belong to them and the people who care for them
